Festival Time!

It's all about the very many awesome festivals going on in 2008! Here at Push To Fire, we're hunting out the best locations, experiences and of course line-ups to let you know where to be this year!

My highlights are definately going to be:

1. SLAM DUNK Festival in Leeds. I've never been before and the line-up is really strong, with Fightstar, Brigade, Kids in Glass Houses and Flood of Red being excellent bands to see live.

2. ZOO8 Festival. This is brand new this year but the line-up is just incredible!
Mark Ronson will be headlining, and I'm definately excited to see the likes of The Cribs, Hadouken! and The Young Knives too! And to make it just that little bit more special, it's taking place in an animal park! Hence the name... ^-^

3. Download. I was lucky enough to attend last year and it was amazing. Above all, the atmosphere there is unlike any other festival. The smaller stage line-up's are looking really strong so it looks like it's going to be a good one!

Hopefully see everyone there!

Shut Me Up!

Hey everyone!

Our photography editor Suzy had great fun a couple of nights ago when she went to take photos of MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE when they hit Leeds Met. on their latest tour! Jimmy Urine even tried to get her on stage!

We were also really pleased to see Templeton Pek on the bill - three very lovely and very talented guys, and the new album is excellent! Definately recommended.

To see the exclusive pictures from the night, visit the photography section of the website.

Our New-Look Website!

Our photography editor and web-wonderwoman Suzy has been working hard to re-invent our main website, www.pushtofire.com. It's now even easier for you to read the latest music news and see exclusive gig photography, read reviews from the latest gigs, find out about new music, book and film releases, see official music videos before anyone else, read interviews with a whole bunch of different bands, plus check out what fashion is hot or not at the moment.
Have a look around the site, tell your friends about it, and let us know what you think!

I Was A Girl Guide

Lots more great updates on the website now!

We've put up the You Me At Six interview and some pictures! It was the guys own idea to use the random shopping trolley, but it made for a good shoot! They were a really great band to interview - they had their own opinions and views of the music industry and their position in it, it was really nice to interview them.

We've also got a photography gallery from the I Was A Cub Scout tour with Rolo Tomassi, one of my personal favourites, and Lovvers. These pictures are amazing! Definately check them out!

And our newest gallery is of The Metros at the Adelphi in Hull, with photos taken by Jonno Witts. These are also really great so make sure you have a look!

She's In Fashion...

Push To Fire's fashion pages have to be amongst my favourites on the site! I especially love the interview our photography editor Suzy did with the alternative model Ulorin Vex - it's really interesting to hear how she got into modelling and her experiences of it so far. Definately worth a read!

More New Stuff For February!

In the Music section of the site there's an interview with Jeremy from Between the Trees. Meghan and Emma bring us coverage of Voltera's show in Sydney, Australia. We've also got reviews of the Beasts/For Old Times Sake 7", Kaikoura's EP, Munroe Effect and Visual Offence. There's a new addition to the fashion section of the site in the form of an interview with jewellery company, Voodoo Pickle. And there are new reviews in the Film section of Penelope and Juno from Eleanor Pender. Awesome!

The interview with You Me At Six is done so keep checking back to the website as it'll be uploaded in the next few days!

Welcome!

This is Push To Fire's official blogsite!

Me and my lovely co-editors Suzy and Annabel will be posting on here about what's going on with the zine - from what we've got coming up on the website, our favourite things from what's already up there, to inside info on what it's like to run a zine!

So, to begin, I'd like to let you all know that we've just uploaded some photos of You Me At Six from their recent tour. It was freezing that night but we heard fans had been queueing outside since 12.30! The venue was packed and everyone seemed really excited to see the band, which was awesome.

We've also got an interview with the guys and a review of the night, so keep checking the website for news on those!

Love and e-hugs,

Rachel
